  Dear Community,                                                                                                                                                     April 27, 2022

I trust you all are well and enjoying this beautiful spring weather after some much needed rainfall! As we witness the changes that springtime brings, I just wanted to provide a few Health and Safety updates as well due to the most recent changes with State mandates for schools.

  • Face coverings are no longer required when on campus and are optional.
  • Close contact is now defined as more than 15-minutes over a 24-hour period with someone who tests positive for COVID-19.
  • The Group-Tracing Approach will now be applied to all classes with students who have been determined to have had close contact.  Using the Group-Tracing Approach, we will notify parents of exposed students via email. Regardless of vaccination status or recent infections, asymptomatic students may remain in school and school activities. We recommend that parents test their child(ren) on day 3-5 after last exposure with any FDA-approved home antigen or PCR test (Those who tested positive within the last 90 days are strongly recommended to use an antigen test). If any symptoms develop during this 14-day period, the exposed person must immediately isolate, get tested, and contact their healthcare provider with any questions regarding their care while following the procedures outlined in the School Safety Plan Section III for those exhibiting symptoms.
  • While we will no longer be testing students at school, we have received an adequate supply of home antigen tests for our community's use. If you would like some tests for your child(ren) (to have on hand when needed), please request and pick up through our front office during regular school hours. Since these tests expire in September, you are also welcome to take tests home for the summer.

Our School Safety Plan has been updated to reflect these most recent changes and is attached below for your viewing.

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns. I look forward to celebrating spring with you all during our May Faire this Sunday!

Warmly,

Hunt
